District Interventions

Literacy Support Program

 What It Is:
The Literacy Support Team (LST) assists all elementary sites in achieving the district goal of every student becoming a proficient reader by 3rd grade. The LST members work with K, 1st, and 2nd grades to provide explicit, systematic instruction to small groups of 2-4 students targeting specific skills. The LST team members run approximately 5-6 intervention rounds for each classroom they serve throughout the year. Students are pre-tested, receive intervention, and post-tested at the end of each session to monitor progress and plan for next steps.
